राज-विद्या 
भगवान ने अर्जुन से कहा - अर्जुन ! मै तुझे दोष दृष्टि रहित भक्त के लिए अब अत्यन्त गोपनीय ज्ञान को रहस्य सहित कहूँगा, जिसे जानकर तू दुःख स्वरूप संसार से मुक्त हो जायगा। भगवान इसे गुह्यतम ज्ञान कह रहे हैं। वेद व्यास ने बड़ी कृपा करके भगवान की इस वाणी को जगत् के कल्याण के लिए प्रस्तुत किया है। भगवान ने कहा कि यह जो ज्ञान तुझे दे रहा हूँ, यह राज-विद्या है, विद्याओं में श्रेष्ठतम विद्या है। इससे बड़ा दूसरा कोई ज्ञान दुनिया में नहीं है। दूसरी सब विद्याएं उदर-पोषण की कला सिखाती हैं। वे वैभव प्रतिष्ठा दिलाने में सहायक होती हैं, किन्तु यह जो विद्या है, वह तो व्यक्ति को जीवन जीना सिखाती है और आत्म ज्ञान देकर साक्षात्कार कराती है एवं मोक्ष दिलाती है जो कि जीवन का अंतिम एवं परम लक्ष्य है। यह विद्या राजविद्या है और व्यक्ति को शहंशाह बनती है।

God said to Arjun - Arjun! I will now tell you the most confidential knowledge with secrets for the devotee without fault vision, knowing which you will be free from the world of sorrow. God is calling it the most secret knowledge. Ved Vyas has kindly presented this speech of God for the welfare of the world. God said that this knowledge that I am giving you is Raj-Vidya, the best of Vidyas. There is no other knowledge greater than this in the world. All other disciplines teach the art of nutrition. They are helpful in getting glory and prestige, but this education, it teaches a person to live life and gives self-knowledge and leads to interview and salvation which is the ultimate and ultimate goal of life. This knowledge is Rajvidya and a person becomes an emperor.
